Biography

Joshua Stein is a philosopher writing on ethics, economics, social and political philosophy, and emerging technology. He has formal training in philosophy (Ph.D., 2021, University of Calgary), bioethics (M.A., 2016, New York University), and Science and Technology Studies (M.A., 2014, New York University).

In addition to teaching and academic research, he also tries to make philosophy accessible to a general audience, writing for mainstream publications on the intersection of philosophy, politics, economics, and emerging technologies. He is also increasingly working on publishing fiction and writing about popular culture and media, in order to make philosophy accessible to a wider audience and to show the role philosophy can play in enriching and improving human life.
